Copy rates

You can easily copy the rates of the currencies you are converting.

Here are ways to copy a single rate:

  • Click the Rate pop-up menu and choose a rate. On macOS 11 or later, the Rate pop-up menu is in the converter’s toolbar. On macOS 10.15 or earlier, the Rate pop-up menu is in the converter’s bottom bar.

  • After having cleared displays, drag a display to a document in another application.

Here are ways to copy the rates of all the currencies listed in a converter:

  • Click the Rate pop-up menu and choose Copy All. On macOS 11 or later, the Rate pop-up menu is in the converter’s toolbar. On macOS 10.15 or earlier, the Rate pop-up menu is in the converter’s bottom bar.

  • After having cleared displays, drag your base currency’s display to a document in another application.

To include thousands separators in your copy:

Choose Edit > Copy Thousands Separators.

To use currency names instead of ISO codes in your copy:

Choose the “Rate pop-up menu uses currencies” option in the General pane of Currency Assistant Settings (macOS 13 or later) or Currency Assistant Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier).
