The General pane of Currency Assistant Settings (macOS 13 or later) or Currency Assistant Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) lets you customize the way converters, menus, and lists look and behave.
Display text size
Choose the size of the text in displays.
Emphasize separators
In Light Mode, drag to darken separators in converters and make them more evident.
In Dark Mode, drag to lighten separators in converters and make them more evident.
Active display highlight color
Click and use the Colors window to specify the highlight color of the active display in converters.
Rate indicator uses
Currencies: Rate indicators display exchange rates using currency names.
ISO codes: Rate indicators display exchange rates using ISO codes.
Currencies or ISO codes, depending on converter width: Rate indicators use currency names when converters are wide enough and ISO codes otherwise.
Rate pop-up menu uses
Currencies: Rate pop-up menus display exchange rates using currency names.
ISO codes: Rate pop-up menus display exchange rates using ISO codes.
Currencies or ISO codes, matching Rate indicator: for each converter, the Rate pop-up menu uses currency names when the Rate indicator uses currency names and ISO codes otherwise.
Show currency tooltips in converters
Select to have Currency Assistant display currency names when you place the mouse pointer over the Switch Currency pop-up menus in a converter.
Show flags in converters
Select to display country flags in converters.
Show flags in menus
Select to display country flags in the Add Currency and Switch Currency menus.
Use small flags in lists and menus
Select to display smaller country flags in lists and menus so that they require less scrolling.
Remember size and position of converters
Select to have Currency Assistant remember the size and the position on the screen of converters after you close them or quit Currency Assistant.
Show alert when closing converters with unsaved tape
Select to have Currency Assistant display an alert message when you close a converter without having saved the conversions logged in its tape.
