Changing the Clocks palette level

The Clocks palette can be a floating window, a normal window, or a desktop window.

To change the Clocks palette level, choose World Clock Deluxe > Preferences or click any clock in the palette and choose Preferences from the displayed pop-up menu. Click Palette in the toolbar and select the desired level in the Level pop-up menu.

Alternatively, you can also Control-click the palette's background and change level using the Level submenu in the displayed contextual menu.

By default, the Clocks palette is a floating window. It floats over all open windows, remains visible if World Clock Deluxe is hidden, and doesn't make World Clock Deluxe active when clicked.

If you set the Clocks palette level to normal window, the palette will be covered by other windows as you make them active, hide when World Clock Deluxe is hidden, and make World Clock Deluxe active when clicked.

If you set the Clocks palette level to desktop icons (on Mac OS X 10.6 or later) or desktop (on Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier), the palette will lie on the desktop under all open windows and won't make World Clock Deluxe active when clicked. If you use Spaces it will be available in every space, and it will remain visible if you hide World Clock Deluxe or show the desktop using Exposé or Mission Control. To temporarily bring the palette to the front, simply click it: as soon as you will release the mouse button the palette will slide back on the desktop.
