Browsing volumes and folders

With Application Wizard you can browse volumes (disks, removable media, connected servers) and recent or frequently used folders.

Task
Action

Open an item on a volume

Display the Special menu and browse the volume to choose the item.

View a volume's used, free and total memory space

Display the volume's submenu in the Special menu.

Open an item in your home folder

Display the Special menu and browse the Home submenu to choose the item.

Open the Library folder on Mac OS X 10.7

Display the Home submenu of the Special menu, hold the Option key, and choose Library.

Add the Library item to the Special menu.

Open an item in a frequently used folder or smart folder

After having added the folder to the Special menu, display the menu and browse the folder's submenu to choose the item.

Access a recently used server

Display the Special menu and select the server in the Recent Servers submenu.

Requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later.

Access a recently opened or browsed folder

Display the Special menu and select the folder in the Recent Folders submenu.
