Menu bar settings

The Menu Bar pane of World Clock Deluxe Settings (macOS 13 or later) or World Clock Deluxe Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) lets you display clocks in the menu bar.

Explanation

Show clocks in the menu bar

Select to show the World Clock Deluxe status menu towards the right end of the menu bar and use it to quickly view clocks.

Position (macOS 10.11)

Use the pop-up menu to control the position of World Clock Deluxe status menu.

Choose Left to force the World Clock Deluxe status menu to always appear to the left of all your other status menus. Choose Center to position it between your other status menus and Apple's menu extras. Choose Right to display it to the right of all menu extras.

Rotate clocks in the menu bar

Select to display clocks alternately towards the right end of the menu bar. Use the slider to adjust the time each clock is displayed.

Fixed width clocks

By default, all clocks have the same width while they rotate in the menu bar. Deselect if you prefer that the width of the World Clock Deluxe status menu varies as clocks rotate.

Style

Choose whether displaying digital or analog clocks in the menu bar.

Format

By default, World Clock Deluxe displays clocks in the menu bar using their actual format. Choose "Show city/time zone/text & time" in the pop-up menu to display cities, time zone abbreviations, alternate texts and times only and reduce your clocks' width in the menu bar.

Truncate city/text to

If you display cities, time zone abbreviations, alternate texts and times only, select to truncate city names and alternate texts to a fixed number of characters. Use the pop-up menu to specify the number of characters.

Show label

By default, World Clock Deluxe shows labels when clocks rotate in the menu bar. Deselect if you don't want to display label colors in the menu bar.

Note: To change the position of the World Clock Deluxe status menu on macOS 10.12 or later, Command-click the World Clock Deluxe status menu icon or clock and drag it.
