Formats

The Formats pane of World Clock Deluxe Settings (macOS 13 or later) or World Clock Deluxe Preferences (macOS 12 or earlier) lets you customize your clocks' date and time formats. World Clock Deluxe comes with 22 date formats and 22 time formats used in different regions of the world.

Date formats list

To add a new format, click the Add (+) button at the bottom of the list, choose New Date Format, and type a name for the new format. Choose whether to show the day and month or the day of the year (001-366) and specify if years should be displayed with or without century or omitted. Choose a date order, enter a date separator, and specify whether days and months should have a leading zero. Click OK to add the new format.

To duplicate a format, select it, click the Add button, and choose Duplicate Date Format. Change the new format as needed and click OK.

To edit a format, double-click it in the list or select it and choose Edit Date Format from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear) at the bottom of the list. Change the format as needed and click OK.

To delete a format, select it and click the Remove (-) button at the bottom of the list or press the Delete key.

Time formats list

To add a new format, click the Add (+) button at the bottom of the list, choose New Time Format, and type a name for the new format. Choose a time cycle (12-hour or 24-hour clock) and specify how you want to display noon and midnight. If necessary, type a text for the first (before noon) and second (after noon) 12 hours of the day. Enter a time separator and specify whether to display hours with or without leading zero. Click OK to add the new format.

To duplicate a format, select it, click the Add button, and choose Duplicate Time Format. Change the new format as needed and click OK.

To edit a format, double-click it in the list or select it and choose Edit Time Format from the Action pop-up menu (looks like a gear) at the bottom of the list. Change the format as needed and click OK.

To delete a format, select it and click the Remove (-) button at the bottom of the list or press the Delete key.
