MaBaSoft releases Application Wizard 2.5.2 (November 23, 2010)

Application Wizard provides easy access to your applications, documents, folders, and disks. It lets you quickly open, quit, and make applications active, force them to open in 32-bit mode or using Rosetta, turn single application mode on, and quit background-only applications and the Finder.

With Application Wizard you can also browse volumes and favorite folders to quickly open enclosed items, eject and mount disks, check memory usage, and easily access recent documents, Address Book contacts, and your iPhoto or Aperture library. Finally, Application Wizard lets you preview images, music, and movies, copy pictures, view metadata, and display slideshows.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.5.2?

 The Open menu can now list Dock applications in the same order as they appear in the Dock. To show applications (and separators) as they are sorted in the Dock, choose Sort in Dock Order from the Dock Applications submenu.
 On macOS 10.5 or later, the Special menu can now preview several new types of documents: web archives and HTML files, Word documents and templates (DOCX, DOCM, DOT, DOTX, DOTM files), and OpenDocument text files and templates (ODT, OTT files).
 A bug that caused Application Wizard to crash after a disk was partitioned, repartitioned, or erased has been fixed.
 Some other minor bugs have been fixed.

MaBaSoft releases Currency Assistant 3.1.3 (September 21, 2010)

Currency Assistant is a very flexible and easy-to-use currency conversion calculator that lets you convert between 174 world currencies and automatically updates exchange rates over the Internet. With Currency Assistant you can easily create multiple converters, import and convert series of amounts, calculate and convert the result of expressions, and quickly log, save, export, and print your conversions.

What's new in Currency Assistant 3.1.3?

 Currency Assistant can now automatically look for rates on the other web sites if they are temporarily unavailable on your favorite source. To automatically look for rates on the other web sites, select the "Try other sources if rate is not available on favorite web site" checkbox in the Rates Update pane of the Preferences window.
 The maximum precision of exchange rates has been increased. Rates can now have up to 12 significant digits.
 Rates updated from the IMF web site now have the same precision as the published rates.
 Some other minor improvements have been introduced.

Currency Assistant 3.1.3 runs in English, German, Dutch, French, and Italian.

 On macOS 10.6, the lowest palette level is now Desktop icons so that the Clocks palette doesn't stop receiving mouse clicks after the Finder is activated.

 Daylight-saving information for Egypt has been updated. Egypt will suspend DST during Ramadan this year. Daylight-saving time will end on August 11 and then resume from September 10 to October 1.
 The Help > Look Up Latitude & Longitude command now takes you to the GeoNames geographical database which covers all countries, including the United States and Antarctica.

 Check for updates has been fully revised and lets you now check for updates both manually and automatically. To set Application Wizard to check for updates automatically or schedule how often you want it to check, open the Application Wizard pane in System Preferences and click the Software Update button.
 Some minor bugs concerning the ejection and mounting of volumes have been fixed.

 World Clock Deluxe now supports all-year-round daylight-saving time.
 Daylight-saving information for Morocco, Samoa, Western Sahara, and for San Luis, Argentina has been updated. Morocco and Western Sahara observe DST from May 2 to August 8 this year. Samoa will trial daylight-saving time from the last Sunday in September to the first Sunday in April. The San Luis province in Argentina extended daylight-saving time (which was originally planned to end on April 11) without setting any end date for the moment.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.6.10?

 Ensenada, Mexico has been added to the World Clock Deluxe cities database. The city of Ensenada in Baja California, located about 70 miles from the Northern Mexican border, has also adopted the United States daylight-saving time rule (second Sunday in March to first Sunday in November).
 The offset from UTC of 8 Russian cities has been updated after the Kamchatka, Chukotka, Udmurtia, Samara, and Kemerovo regions in Russia moved to different time zones and Russia reduced the number of its time zones from 11 to 9 on March 28, 2010. Edited cities are:
Samara Oblast Samara from UTC+4 to UTC+3

Udmurt Republic Izhevsk from UTC+4 to UTC+3

 The offset from UTC of the Australian Antarctic stations Casey and Davis has been updated. With winter approaching in the southern hemisphere, Casey switched back to UTC+8, while Davis reverted to UTC+7.
 Daylight-saving time information for Bangladesh, Pakistan, Syria, the Gaza Strip, and the West Bank has been updated. Bangladesh and Pakistan decided to cancel daylight-saving time. Syria postponed the start of DST from last Friday in March to the first Friday in April. Daylight-saving time in the West Bank and in Gaza started on March 26 and 27, respectively and will end on October 4, this year.

Finally, Application Wizard lets you preview images, music, and movies, copy pictures, view metadata, and display slideshows.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.5?

 Application Wizard lets you now choose what types of volumes (hard disks, external disks, removable media, connected servers, inactive disks) appear in the Special menu and allows you to eject disks, partitions, and servers and mount ejected disks.
To specify what volumes appear in the Special menu, open the Configure Special Menu dialog, double-click Volumes in the Special Menu list, and select the desired types. To quickly eject a disk with more than one partition, hold the Option key and select any of its partitions in the Special menu. To eject a single partition, hold the Control key and select it in the Special menu. To mount a disk or partition that has been ejected, make sure you are showing inactive disks and select the ejected disk or partition in the Special menu.
 On macOS 10.5 or later, the Recent Documents and Recent Servers items can now be added to the Special menu so that you can quickly open recently used files and connect to recently used servers.
 The Activity Monitor command has been added to the System Memory submenu so that you can quickly open Activity Monitor and learn more about the processes running on your computer and their memory usage.
 The Aperture Library submenu now fully supports Aperture 3.
 The iPhoto Library submenu solves some incompatibilities with iPhoto '09, fixes some bugs, and lets you see how your published albums appear online.
 The opening of aliases from the Special menu has been enhanced. In addition to that, you can now resolve aliases in the Special menu by selecting the Resolve aliases checkbox in the Configure Special Menu dialog.
 Application Wizard lets you now disable previews for files located on shared computers and file servers. To disable previews on shared computers and servers, select the Do not preview files on connected servers checkbox in the Previews panel.
 The Switch to Previous command has been added to the Switch menu.
 Single application mode allows you now to temporarily show multiple applications so that you can use them together. To link applications so that they are visible together, highlight them in the Switch menu and press the Command key.
 Application Wizard lets you now define keyboard shortcuts to quickly accomplish frequent tasks. To work with keyboard shortcuts, open the Keyboard Shortcuts pane of the Application Wizard preferences.
 If you use hot keys to display the Open, Quit, Switch, and Special menus, you can now choose where menus appear on the screen. Besides the pointer position, you can now display menus in a screen corner or centered on the screen. To edit menu positions, open the General pane of the Application Wizard preferences, click a menu position button, and select the desired position.
 A bug, introduced in version 2.4, causing the Open and Special menus not to show the Classic Applications Folder item and the Start/Stop/Restart Classic commands when Classic is installed has been fixed.
 A bug, introduced in version 2.4, causing the Applications panel not to list non-bundled applications has been fixed.
 Several other minor bugs have been fixed and several minor improvements have been introduced.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.6.9?

 Daylight-saving time information for Chile, Egypt, Fiji, and Paraguay has been updated. Fiji anticipates the end of daylight-saving time from April 25 to March 28 due to growing complaints across the country. DST will then return on October 24. Chile decided to postpone the end of daylight-saving time from March 14 to April 4 due to the recent earthquake. Paraguay amended its DST start and end dates (first Sunday in October to the second Sunday in April) as part of a series of measures to rationalize electricity consumption. Egypt will probably observe daylight-saving time from April 30 to August 6 this year.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.6.8?

 If you use Spaces, you can now have the Clocks palette always available, no matter which space you're in, by selecting the Show palette in all spaces checkbox in the Palette pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences.
 Daylight-saving time information for Bangladesh, Egypt, Israel, Morocco, and Western Sahara has been updated. This year, Bangladesh will observe DST from March 31 to November 1, while in Israel DST will start on March 26 and end on September 12. Egypt, Morocco, and Western Sahara may not observe daylight-saving time in 2010.
 10 cities on the Northern Mexican border will soon adopt the same daylight-saving time rule as the United States (second Sunday in March to first Sunday in November). Daylight-saving time information has therefore been updated for Tijuana and Mexicali in the state of Baja California, and the remaining 8 border cities have been added to the World Clock Deluxe database. New cities are:

Coahuila Ciudad Acuña, Piedras Negras
Nuevo León Anáhuac
