Set Application Wizard to check for updates automatically

Application Wizard can use your Internet connection (when available) to automatically check for new versions.

To automatically check for updates:

  1. Open Application Wizard.

  2. On macOS 13 or later, choose Application Wizard > Settings. On macOS 12 or 11, choose Application Wizard > Preferences. Then click Software Update.

  3. Select the “Automatically check for updates” checkbox.

  4. Choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly from the pop-up menu to schedule how often you want Application Wizard to check for new versions.

When Application Wizard detects that an update is available, you can choose to download or ignore it. To download the new version, click the Download button. To ignore it, select the “Skip this version” checkbox and click the Cancel button.

To manually check for updates, you can either choose Application Wizard > Check for Updates or click the Check Now button in the Software Update pane of Application Wizard Settings (macOS 13 or later) or Application Wizard Preferences (macOS 12 or 11).

Application Wizard must be turned on to check for updates.
