Previewing large images and audio or video files can slow down browsing folders that are located on shared computers and file servers on your network. To speed up browsing, you can choose not to preview files if they are located on connected servers.
Open Application Wizard.
On macOS 13 or later, choose Application Wizard > Settings. On macOS 12 or 11, choose Application Wizard > Preferences. Then click Previews.
Select the “Do not preview files on connected servers” checkbox.
