You can open or quit more applications at the same time by selecting multiple applications in the Open or Quit menu.
To select multiple applications in the Open menu, highlight each of them and press the Shift key. You can select applications appearing all in the same submenu or belonging to different submenus. Selected applications will be marked with a blue dot.
To deselect an application, highlight it and press the Shift key again.
To open the selected applications, release the mouse button while highlighting a menu item. The highlighted application or command will be also opened or performed. To cancel the operation, press Escape or release the mouse button when the pointer is outside the menu.
To select multiple applications in the Quit menu, highlight each of them and press the Shift key. You can select applications appearing in the Quit menu and in its submenus. Selected applications will be marked with a red dot.
