Hide groups in menus

Application Wizard allows you hide groups in the Open, Quit, or Switch menu. For example, if you have a group that you use just to open applications automatically when you log in, you can hide it in the Open, Quit, and Switch menus.

To hide a group:

  1. Open Application Wizard.

  2. On macOS 13 or later, choose Application Wizard > Settings. On macOS 12 or 11, choose Application Wizard > Preferences. Then click Groups.

  3. Select the group in the list.

  4. Deselect the “Show in Open menu”, “Show in Quit menu”, or “Show in Switch menu” checkbox if you do not want the group to appear in the Open, Quit, or Switch menu.

Note: When single application mode is turned on, groups do not appear in the Switch menu even if their “Show in Switch menu” checkbox is selected.
