MaBaSoft releases Application Wizard 2.5 (March 15, 2010)

Application Wizard provides easy access to your applications, documents, and pictures. It lets you quickly open, quit, and make applications active, force them to open in 32-bit mode or using Rosetta, turn single application mode on, and quit background-only applications and the Finder.

With Application Wizard you can also navigate volumes and favorite folders to quickly open enclosed items, eject and mount disks, easily access recent documents, Address Book contacts, and your iPhoto or Aperture library, and check memory usage. Finally, Application Wizard lets you preview images, music, and movies, copy pictures, view metadata, and display slideshows.

What's new in Application Wizard 2.5?

Application Wizard lets you now choose what types of volumes (hard disks, external disks, removable media, connected servers, inactive disks) appear in the Special menu and allows you to eject disks, partitions, and servers and mount ejected disks.
To specify what volumes appear in the Special menu, open the Configure Special Menu dialog, double-click Volumes in the Special Menu list, and select the desired types. To quickly eject a disk with more than one partition, hold the Option key and select any of its partitions in the Special menu. To eject a single partition, hold the Control key and select it in the Special menu. To mount a disk or partition that has been ejected, make sure you are showing inactive disks and select the ejected disk or partition in the Special menu.
On Mac OS X 10.5 or later, the Recent Documents and Recent Servers items can now be added to the Special menu so that you can quickly open recently used files and connect to recently used servers.
The Activity Monitor command has been added to the System Memory submenu so that you can quickly open Activity Monitor and learn more about the processes running on your computer and their memory usage.
The Aperture Library submenu now fully supports Aperture 3.
The iPhoto Library submenu solves some incompatibilities with iPhoto '09, fixes some bugs, and lets you see how your published albums appear online.
The opening of aliases from the Special menu has been enhanced. In addition to that, you can now resolve aliases in the Special menu by selecting the Resolve aliases checkbox in the Configure Special Menu dialog.
Application Wizard lets you now disable previews for files located on shared computers and file servers. To disable previews on shared computers and servers, select the Do not preview files on connected servers checkbox in the Previews panel.
The Switch to Previous command has been added to the Switch menu.
Single application mode allows you now to temporarily show multiple applications so that you can use them together. To link applications so that they are visible together, highlight them in the Switch menu and press the Command key.
Application Wizard lets you now define keyboard shortcuts to quickly accomplish frequent tasks. To work with keyboard shortcuts, open the Keyboard Shortcuts pane of the Application Wizard preferences.
If you use hot keys to display the Open, Quit, Switch, and Special menus, you can now choose where menus appear on the screen. Besides the pointer position, you can now display menus in a screen corner or centered on the screen. To edit menu positions, open the General pane of the Application Wizard preferences, click a menu position button, and select the desired position.
A bug, introduced in version 2.4, causing the Open and Special menus not to show the Classic Applications Folder item and the Start/Stop/Restart Classic commands when Classic is installed has been fixed.
A bug, introduced in version 2.4, causing the Applications panel not to list non-bundled applications has been fixed.
Several other minor bugs have been fixed and several minor improvements have been introduced.

Application Wizard 2.5 runs in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, and Italian.

World Clock Deluxe 4.6.8

MaBaSoft releases World Clock Deluxe 4.6.9 (March 10, 2010)

World Clock Deluxe is a powerful and easy-to-use time tool. With World Clock Deluxe you can display multiple clocks in a horizontal or vertical palette, in the menu bar and in the Dock, show Coordinated Universal Time and Internet Time, assign labels and colors to clocks, calculate date and time conversions across different time zones and show the current weather all over the world.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.6.9?

Daylight-saving time information for Chile, Egypt, Fiji, and Paraguay has been updated. Fiji anticipates the end of daylight-saving time from April 25 to March 28 due to growing complaints across the country. DST will then return on October 24. Chile decided to postpone the end of daylight-saving time from March 14 to April 4 due to the recent earthquake. Paraguay amended its DST start and end dates (first Sunday in October to the second Sunday in April) as part of a series of measures to rationalize electricity consumption. Egypt will probably observe daylight-saving time from April 30 to August 6 this year.

World Clock Deluxe 4.6.9 runs in English, German, Dutch, French, and Italian.
