MaBaSoft releases World Clock Deluxe 4.4 (December 1, 2006)
World Clock Deluxe is a powerful and easy-to-use time tool. With World Clock Deluxe you can display multiple clocks in a horizontal or vertical palette, in the menu bar and in the Dock, show Coordinated Universal Time and Internet Time, assign labels and colors to clocks, calculate date and time conversions across different time zones and show the current weather all over the world.
What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.4?
 |
Time zone abbreviations (standard and daylight) have been associated to cities so that city clocks can now display the time zone (e.g. New York, 5:25 PM EST or Sydney, 9:25 AM AEDT). |
 |
A type (standard or daylight) has been associated to time zones, so that World Clock Deluxe can correctly suggest standard and daylight time zone abbreviations while you are adding or editing cities.
In addition to that, the Calculate Longitude button has replaced the two Standard Time Zone and Daylight Time Zone buttons which allowed you to automatically calculate longitudes while adding or editing time zones. |
 |
Cities, time zones and daylight saving time rules have been revised and updated.
Western Australia and Honduras introduced DST, while Iran abolished it. Brazil, Uruguay, Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan changed their DST start and/or end dates. Beginning in 2007, DST in the United States, Canada, Bermuda and Saint Pierre and Miquelon will start on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in November.
Wake Time has been corrected to UTC+12. Greenland time zones have been revised: the time zone observed by the northwestern part of Greenland (UTC-4) is Atlantic Time, while the time zone observed by the southwest and south coast of Greenland (UTC-3) is Western Greenland Time. Several time zone names and/or abbreviations have been updated.
The city of Gaza and four new time zones (Cuba Standard Time, Cuba Daylight Time, Irish Summer Time, Western Samoa Time) have been added. DST rules have been introduced for Bahamas, Eastern and Western Greenland, Haiti and Turks and Caicos Islands. |
 |
A minor bug concerning daylight-saving time validation when cities are added or edited has been fixed. |
World Clock Deluxe 4.4 runs in English, German, Dutch, French and Italian.
