MaBaSoft releases World Clock Deluxe 4.0.1 (November 15, 2004)

World Clock Deluxe is a powerful and easy-to-use time tool. With World Clock Deluxe you can display multiple clocks in a horizontal or vertical palette, in the menu bar and in the Dock, show Coordinated Universal Time and Internet Time, assign labels and colors to clocks, calculate date and time conversions across different time zones and show the current weather all over the world.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.0.1?

	A bug causing clocks to defer the transition to daylight-saving or standard time if World Clock Deluxe was running during the actual transition, but the computer was sleeping or had been sleeping, has been fixed.
	A bug causing non-rotating clocks in the Clocks palette not to be regularly updated on Mac OS X 10.1.5 has been fixed.
	Full keyboard access and keyboard navigation (text boxes and lists only/any control) are now correctly supported. On Mac OS X 10.2.8 or earlier a bug causing the Clocks palette to be shown or hidden when the toggle full keyboard access, toggle focus for any control, menu, window, toolbar and utility window keyboard shortcuts were pressed has been fixed.
	A mistake in the German resources causing the Show date and time of weather reports menu in the Weather pane of World Clock Deluxe Preferences not to pop up has been corrected.
	The Clocks palette is now automatically repositioned and resized considering the whole screen, even when the Dock is always visible.
	When importing cities, World Clock Deluxe looks now for a version 3.x preferences file in the Preferences folder and automatically selects it in the Open dialog.
	The Close command has been added to the Window menu.
	Some other minor bugs have been fixed.

World Clock Deluxe 4.0.1 runs in English, German, Dutch, French and Italian.

MaBaSoft releases Application Wizard 1.3.2 (September 22, 2004)

Application Wizard working with applications on Mac OS X easier and quicker. It lets you open, quit, show and hide single applications or groups of applications. With Application Wizard you can also open applications automatically at startup, force applications to open in Classic, force applications to quit and relaunch them, quit background-only applications, start and stop Classic, quit, launch and relaunch the Finder and relaunch the Dock.

What's new in Application Wizard 1.3.2?

	An incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later which caused the impossibility to add applications to groups or custom applications by dragging their icons from the Finder to the Groups & Applications and Applications lists has been fixed.
	An incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.2.8 or later which caused some particular application bundles (e.g. Acrobat Reader 5) not to appear in the Applications Folder, Classic Applications Folder and Developer Applications Folder submenus of the Open menu has been fixed.
	Application Wizard has been localized to Japanese. The Application Wizard package runs now in 7 languages: English, Japanese, German, French, Dutch, Spanish and Italian.

What's new in World Clock Deluxe 4.0?

General

	World Clock Deluxe has been rewritten as a Cocoa application.
	The World Clock Deluxe user interface has been completely revised.
	All World Clock Deluxe localizations now share the same preferences. Weather reports and predefined cities, countries, time zones, daylight-saving time rules, date formats, time formats and labels are translated automatically when World Clock Deluxe switches to a different language.

Clocks pane

	The 24-clock limitation has been removed: you can now define as many clocks as you need.
	Clocks can now display an alternate text instead of the associated city's name or time zone's abbreviation.
	Two new clock format options have been introduced: date change and UTC offset.
	Weekdays are now displayed in the current World Clock Deluxe language.
	A clock's date format can now be customized. You can choose a date format differing from the format selected in your International preferences and assign different date formats to different clocks.
	Multiple clocks can now be edited at the same time, so that you can quickly apply one or more format options to multiple clocks.
	Clocks can be duplicated and multiple clocks can now be deleted simultaneously. Clocks can also be deleted by pressing the Delete key.
	Clocks can now be dragged in the Clocks pane list without having to hold the Option key. Multiple clocks can now be dragged at the same time.
	Two new sorting criteria have been introduced: time and longitude offset. Clocks can now be sorted in ascending or descending order and arranged by two sorting criteria.
	On Mac OS X 10.2 or later World Clock Deluxe now always correctly identifies your local city when running for the first time.

Cities & Time Zones pane

	The cities database has been revised and contains over 400 cities now. All capitals have been included and, for multi-time zone countries, at least one city for time zone is now available. For the United States, at least one city (capital or major city) for state is now available. Daylight-saving time information has been revised. Weather station indicators have been added for most cities.
	Cities having the same geographical coordinates of an existing city can now be defined. Countries are now optional. The maximum accepted UTC offset is now + 14 h.
	Daylight-saving time adjustments differing from 1 hour (20, 30, 40 minutes or 2 hours) can now be specified.
	Cities can be duplicated and multiple cities can now be deleted simultaneously. Cities can also be deleted by pressing the Delete key.
	Daylight-saving time rules have been introduced: while adding or editing cities you can display the DST Rules panel providing daylight-saving time rules for most countries or regions observing daylight-saving time. To apply a rule, select the corresponding country or region in the DST Rules panel and click Apply Rule. Daylight-saving time rules can be added, edited, duplicated and deleted.
	World Clock Deluxe 4 does not read your World Clock Deluxe 3.x settings, but, in case you had added a considerable number of cities, gives you the possibility to import cities from your World Clock Deluxe 3.2 or 3.1.1 preferences file. To import cities, choose World Clock Deluxe > Import Cities.
	The time zones database has been revised, contains over 200 time zones now and covers the whole world.
	Time zone names are now optional. The maximum accepted UTC offset is now + 14 h.
	Time zones can be duplicated and multiple time zones can now be deleted simultaneously. Time zones can also be deleted by pressing the Delete key.

Time Converter pane

An incompatibility with Mac OS X 10.3 or later has been fixed. On Mac OS X 10.3 or later changing the left (right) date and time by typing a new year, month, day, hour or minute didn't produce a corresponding change of the right (left) date and time unless Return was pressed.

Weather

World Clock Deluxe shows the current weather by retrieving weather reports via HTTP from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's servers and listing them in the Weather Reports window.
To show the current weather in one or more cities, select them in the Cities & Time Zones pane and click Show Weather. To quickly show the weather in your clocks' cities, Shift-Control-click any clock in the Clocks palette and choose a city or All Cities from the displayed pop-up menu.

Weather reports can be configured using the Weather pane in World Clock Deluxe Preferences. World Clock Deluxe lets you:

	automatically clear all reports when quitting
	show recent reports only (reports are considered recent if issued maximum 24, 48 or 72 hours, 1, 2, 3 or 4 weeks before download)
	display dates and times of reports in Coordinated Universal Time, weather station local times or your local time
	use Imperial or metric units (temperatures can be displayed in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius, visibility in miles or kilometers, atmospheric pressure in inches of mercury or hectopascals and wind speed in knots, miles per hour, kilometers per hour or meters per second)

Weather reports can be saved as RTF documents. You can save all reports, the selected reports or the reports issued starting from a certain date. You can optionally skip errors reported during the download.

Weather reports can be copied to other applications by dragging them to the desired document window.

Weather reports can be rearranged in the Weather Reports window by dragging them in the list. Multiple reports can be repositioned at the same time.

Weather reports can be deleted by clicking the Delete button in the Weather Reports window. You can delete all reports, the selected reports, the reports issued before a certain date and the errors reported during the download. Reports can also be deleted by selecting them and pressing the Delete key.

Clocks palette

	The Clocks palette has been redesigned and has a completely new appearance. Drawing in the palette has been improved to reduce CPU usage.
	Analog clocks can now be displayed in the Clocks palette. When clocks are analog, their dial size can be adjusted.
	The palette's font and type size can now be changed.
	The Clocks palette size has been reduced: different clocks have different widths when the palette is horizontal.
	Transparent clocks now become automatically opaque when the mouse pointer is over the palette.
	The Clocks palette can now lie on three different levels: it can float over all windows, behave as a normal window or lie on your desktop under all open windows.
	A transition effect (fade, slide horizontally, slide vertically) can now be associated to the clocks' rotation in the palette.
	The palette pop-up menus have been revised. The Pane pop-up menu lets you now quit World Clock Deluxe and display all your clocks, too. The Format pop-up menu has been re-organized. The Rotation Speed pop-up slider has been dropped and a new Show Weather pop-up menu (Shift-Control-click on any clock) has been introduced.
	Some of the modifier keys allowing to quickly accomplish frequent tasks directly from the palette had to be changed. To show and hide clocks from the palette you must now hold the Control key while clicking a clock. To drag clocks in the palette you must now use the Command key. To change the palette's orientation, you must now Shift-click its background.

Dock

	Clocks in the Dock icon have been redesigned to make them more readable.
	Analog clocks can now be displayed in the Dock icon.
	A transition effect (fade, slide horizontally, slide vertically) can now be associated to the clocks' rotation in the Dock.
	Clicking the icon in the Dock lets you now also show and hide the Clocks palette.

Menu bar

	World Clock Deluxe lets you now add its icon on the right side of the menu bar and use it to quickly display your clocks in a pop-up menu.
	Clocks can also rotate in the menu bar: both digital and analog clocks can be displayed in the menu bar.

World Clock Deluxe Preferences

	Preferences have been moved to the World Clock Deluxe Preferences window and are displayed by choosing World Clock Deluxe > Preferences.
	Two new preference panes have been added: Menu Bar and Weather. The Menu Bar pane lets you show and rotate clocks in the menu bar and the Weather pane lets you change the way weather reports are displayed in the Weather Reports window.
	The Date & Time Formats pane has replaced the Time Formats pane. The AM/PM and 24-Hour predefined time formats have been replaced by 23 time formats named by region (Australia, Austria, Belgium, ... ). Date formats, also named by region, have been introduced. Date and time formats can be added, edited, duplicated and deleted. Multiple formats can now be deleted simultaneously. Date and time formats can also be deleted by pressing the Delete key.
	Label styles have been introduced in the Labels pane. Both in the Clocks palette and in the Dock icon you can decide whether to display label colors as background colors, as frame colors or as text colors.

Other improvements and fixes

	World Clock Deluxe lets you now check for updates. To see whether a new World Clock Deluxe version is available and download it, choose World Clock Deluxe > Check for Updates.
	The Lookup Weather Station Indicator, Lookup Latitude & Longitude and Lookup UTC Offset & DST commands have been added to the Help menu, so that adding new cities is easier and quicker.
	Several minor bugs have been fixed and several minor improvements have been introduced.

World Clock Deluxe 4.0 runs in English, German, Dutch, French and Italian.

MaBaSoft releases Euro Assistant Pro 2.6.4 (May 7, 2004)

Euro Assistant Pro is a currency converter directed to both European and non-European users. Euro Assistant Pro converts any currency into any other currency, updates exchange rates over the Internet, logs, prints, saves and exports your conversions, imports and automatically converts series of amounts, calculates and converts the result of algebraic expressions.

What's new in Euro Assistant Pro 2.6.4?

	The currencies of the ten countries (Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Cyprus and Malta) that joined the European Union on May 1, 2004 have been added to the Euro Assistant Pro predefined currencies.
	The Czech Koruna and Polish Zloty ISO codes have been changed to CZK and PLN respectively following the European Central Bank indication.

What's new in Euro Assistant Pro 2.6.3?

	A change introduced in the International Monetary Fund Representative Exchange Rates for Selected Currencies web page caused Euro Assistant Pro to be unable to update rates automatically using the exchange rates published by the International Monetary Fund. The problem has been solved parsing the newly introduced Representative Exchange Rates for Selected Currencies CSV file.
	A change introduced in the Bank of Canada Daily Noon Rates CSV file caused Euro Assistant Pro to be unable to update the Mexican Peso rate using the exchange rates published by the Bank of Canada. The problem has been fixed.

Euro Assistant Pro 2.6.3 is available in two versions:

What's new in Application Wizard 1.3.1?

	A bug which caused the Open, Quit, Switch and Special menus to appear as scrolling menus (displaying a reduced number of items and a downward-pointing indicator as if they did not fit onscreen) on Mac OS X 10.3 when the Dock was always visible and positioned on the bottom of the screen and the menu panel was placed on the bottom of the screen or in the left or right bottom corner has been fixed.
	A bug which caused the Panel Options and Buttons menus to appear as scrolling menus when the Dock was always visible and positioned on the bottom of the screen and the menu panel was placed on the bottom of the screen or in the left or right bottom corner has been fixed.
	A bug which could cause the Open, Quit, Switch and Special menus to appear as scrolling menus when they were displayed using hot keys and the Dock was always visible and positioned on the bottom of the screen has been fixed.
	When running in German, Application Wizard did not prevent custom applications from being hidden when the Hide Others command was chosen despite their Do not hide on Hide Others option had been selected. In addition to that, the state of the Do not hide on Hide Others checkbox in the German Application Wizard could be incorrect (i.e. checked despite the option had never been selected or unchecked despite the option had been selected). The problem, which was due to a mistake in the German resources, has been fixed.
	A bug causing groups, folders, applications and System Preferences panes having names beginning with a hyphen (-) to be displayed as menu separators in the Open, Quit and Switch menus has been fixed.
	Some minor bugs have been fixed and some minor improvements have been introduced.

Application Wizard 1.3.1 runs in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italian.

What's new in Euro Assistant Pro 2.6.2?

	A change introduced in the Bank of Canada Daily Noon Rates CSV file caused Euro Assistant Pro to be unable to update rates automatically using the exchange rates published by the Bank of Canada. The problem has been fixed.
	The Jamaican Dollar euro exchange rate can now be updated automatically using the rates published by the Bank of Canada.
