Assigning an alternate text to a clock

By default, World Clock Deluxe shows city names and time zone abbreviations in clocks, but you can display any other text by assigning an alternate text to your clocks.

You might for instance wish to abbreviate Los Angeles, CA to L.A. or would find it nice to display Pete instead of Bandar Seri Begawan if Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei is where you son Peter currently lives.

To display an alternate text in a clock, choose Pane > Clocks to open the Clocks pane and double-click the clock or select it and click the Edit button. Type the desired text in the Alternate text field and click OK.

To switch back to the city name or time zone abbreviation, simply delete the text you have typed in the Alternate text field.
