Preventing applications from quitting

If you have applications that you wish to keep always running, add them to the Excluded Applications group. Application Wizard won't quit them when you choose Quit Others and Quit All.

To add an application to the Excluded Applications group, open the Application Wizard pane in System Preferences, click the Groups tab, select Excluded Applications in the Groups & Applications list and click the Add Application button. Select the application you want to exclude in the displayed dialog and click Add.

If the application you wish to add to the Excluded Applications groups is contained in a file package, click the package while holding the Control key and choose Show Package Contents from the contextual menu. Display the application you want to exclude (it will most probably be located in the Resources folder in the Contents folder in the package) and drag its icon from the Finder to the Excluded Applications group in the Groups & Applications list. Alternatively, you can click the application's icon while holding the Control key to display a contextual menu and choose Excluded Applications from the Add to Application Wizard Group submenu.

To quit excluded applications, use the Excluded Applications submenu in the Quit menu. If the Excluded Applications submenu is not available in the Quit menu, make sure you haven't hidden the Excluded Applications group.
