You can open or quit more applications at the same time by selecting multiple applications in the Open or Quit menu.
To select multiple applications in the Open menu, highlight each of them and press the Shift key. You can select applications appearing all in the same submenu or belonging to different submenus.
To deselect a highlighted application, reposition the pointer on the corresponding menu item and press the Shift key.
To open the selected applications, release the mouse button with the pointer on any of the highlighted menu items. To cancel the operation, press Escape or release the mouse button when the pointer is outside the menu.
To select multiple applications in the Quit menu, highlight each of them and press the Shift key. You can select applications appearing in the Quit menu and in its submenus.
