When previews are turned on, Application Wizard lets you easily view the information that digital cameras and image editors store in pictures. Embedded metadata usually include general image properties (size, resolution, depth, orientation, color space, ... ), the settings used when the picture was shot (exposure time, F-number, ISO speed, metering mode, flash information, ... ) and information about the camera. In addition to that metadata can contain format-specific properties (compression method, rendering intent, ... ), the geographical position where the picture was shot, information about the author, a description and keywords used for classification purposes. To view the metadata associated with a picture or image file, select it in the Special menu and display the More Info submenu. Application Wizard shows general, Exif, GIF, GPS, IPTC, JFIF, PNG, TIFF, DNG and Photoshop properties, Nikon maker notes and, for photos contained in your iPhoto library, iPhoto keywords and comments. If you wish to save the displayed metadata as RTF (Rich Text Format), choose Save Info from the submenu, type a name for the file, choose a folder to save it in from the Where pop-up menu and click Save. Application Wizard requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to display the metadata associated with pictures.
