Getting information about files

When previews are turned on, you can quickly get information about files by selecting them in the Special menu.

Application Wizard displays kind and file size, creation date and modification date. In addition to that, it indicates image size for pictures, duration for songs and image size and duration for movies.

On Mac OS X 10.4 or later the More Info submenu provides additional information: you can view when a file was last opened and, in case it was downloaded or received as an attachment, where it was obtained from (URL, sender's email address, message subject, ... ).

Application Wizard lets you also quickly open a file's Info window in the Finder in case you need to change some of its settings: simply select the file in the Special menu and choose Get Info.
