Viewing PDF files as a slideshow

When previews are enabled, the Special menu lets you view PDF files as slideshows.

To display a slideshow of all the pages in a PDF file:

Select the PDF file in the Special menu and choose Slideshow.

  • During the slideshow, use the controls at the bottom of the screen to start and pause the slideshow, move forward and back through pages, zoom in pages so that they fit the screen, and, on Mac OS X 10.5 or later, view an index of all pages.

  • From the index you can go to a particular page by clicking its thumbnail.

  • To end the slideshow, click the Close control or press Escape.
